Location Tracking Method using Communication Signal Strength

Abstract: A location tracking system has been developed in order to tracks the location of a moving terminal and provide various tracking services based on the location. Methods/Statistical analysis: This paper presents a method to find a target using UAVs in LoRa communication environment. The proposed method proposes a UAV flight path where the target signal can be found without blind spots. The flight path was changed by using the intensity of the transmitted signal during the flight using the variation of the signal strength. Findings: We verified the proposed method by simulation and confirmed that it takes a long time to track the target, although the efficiency of the 3 flights is high. It is best to fly three UAVs to reduce time to find target and increase efficiency when the time is a critical factor. The LoRa communication lowers the production cost and makes it possible to construct the system with low cost. Improvements/Applications: The proposed method provides the location-based service collecting location target information on the terminal and provides various services such as route guidance, prevention of crime, or finding a missing child.

Algorithm Design and Implementation of the User-optimized AI Curation System with AR-based characters

Abstract: Background/Objectives: This study tries to design the algorithm for a basic research to provide AR – based theme travel AI curation system through customized virtual characters that can be modified according to the surrounding situations or issues changing in real time. Methods/Statistical analysis: This study suggests four modules which are the travel information input, travel preference checking, character generating, and travel information providing modules. Especially, the travel information input module is composed as two parts, which are an information in puta request input unit. Findings: The AI curation providing system is an automated main system provided in a central server so that the user can utilize it when they are planning a trip. The user can access the system through the user terminal or device connected to the communications to utilize the AI curation system. Furthermore, the system can have a separate administrator or an AI robot inside the system, and it can be configured to perform maintenance and data update through the manager or the bot. On the system environment, the travel preference checking module can be divided as two parts which are a comparative and detailed travel destination derivation parts. As the finding, this study mainly aims to make a design of algorithm for each step for constructing a system that provides a recommendation system of a travel destination recommending a user’s preferred travel destination and detailed travel destination. Improvements/Applications: Based on this algorithm design, it will be expected the appearance of more efficiency travel information sharing service between travel information sharing service server and the way of offering the service server which is the user-optimized AI Curation System with AR-based characters.

Segmentation of Brain Tissues from MRI using Bilateral Filter Based Fuzzy C-Means Clustering

Abstract: This paper represents a segmentation method that incorporates both local spatial information and intensity information in an efficient fuzzy way. The newly introduced segmentation method BWFCM is an abbreviation of Bilateral weighted fuzzy C-Means. BWFCM uses the advantage of the bilateral filter in its objective function as a bilateral kernel that replaced the spatial neighborhood term with Gaussian weighted Euclidean distance mean of the intensity value of neighbor pixels. BWFCM preserves the damping extent of adjacent pixels while removing the noise because of its averaging behavior. The BWFCM segmentation method is perceived to be very focused on several state-of-the-art methods on a range of images. Experiment analysis on simulated and real MR images show that the proposed method BWFCM provides superior performance over the conventional FCM method and several FCM based methods. The proposed method BWFCM has weakened the impact of Rician noise and other artifact and gives more accurate and efficient segmentation results.

A Novel UWB Antenna with Reconfigurable Notch Bands

Abstract: A UWB antenna with reconfigurable notch band characteristics is proposed in this paper. The tunable notches are created using modified E shaped resonators that can be reconfigured to modified C shape; etched on either side of the microstrip feed line of a circular patch UWB antenna. The single and dual band rejection characteristics are created by using C and E shaped structure respectively. Reconfigurability is achieved by using two RF switches. By varying the ON and OFF states of the RF switches, two different notch bands are created; single notch band from 4 to 6.2 GHz and an additional notch band from 7.6 to 10 GHz are achieved. These wide bandwidth rejection performance leads to notching of WLAN, WiMAX, C-band frequencies and X band Satellite communication systems.

Infrared and Visible Image Fusion Based on Nonparametric Segmentation

Abstract: Image fusion is a process of combining an image sequence of the same scene into a single image for better human perception & targeting. The thermal energy reflected from outstanding objects under poor lighting conditions and visible information that yield spatial details needs to be fused for improving the performance of surveillance systems. In this paper, we present a fusion technique that is helpful in surveillance systems for detecting targets when the background and the targets are of the same color. A nonparametric segmentation based weight map computation technique is proposed to extract target details from infrared (IR) imagery. The optimal threshold based on local features is selected automatically for target detection. With this, the extracted salient information of targets is blended to visible image without introducing distortions. The main advantage of the new technique is that it is based on a single-scale binary map (SSBM) fusion approach. The binary weight maps are computed for the fusion of separable IR target with visible imagery. An extension to IR and visible color image fusion is also suggested for target localization. Several simulation results are demonstrated for different data sets to support the validity of the proposed technique.

Abstract: Nowadays, Data Mining is used everywhere for extracting information from the data and in turn, acquires knowledge for decision making. Data Mining analyzes patterns which are used to extract information and knowledge for making decisions. Many open source and licensed tools like Weka, RapidMiner, KNIME, and Orange are available for Data Mining and predictive analysis. This paper discusses about different tools available for Data Mining and Machine Learning, followed by the description, pros and cons of these tools. The article provides details of all the algorithms like classification, regression, characterization, discretization, clustering, visualization and feature selection for Data Mining and Machine Learning tools. It will help people for efficient decision making and suggests which tool is suitable according to their requirement.

Abstract: The world today is completely secured with most recent advancements. Consequently the security is still a huge issue. Biometric provides high security with more precision which recognizes the individual dependent on their physiological qualities of a person by utilizing their biometrics. It aims that the biometric will build security, dependability and agreeableness in the most recent innovation of PC framework. The mainstream MIPS based cryptography processor is utilized for equipment and programming items and guidelines require cryptography keys length for higher security level. Merging biometric with MIPS cryptography processor is as a possible arrangement. We utilize new way to deal with Network security utilizing MIPS constructed crypto processor situated in light of contactless palm vein biometric framework. Abstract: Online shopping’s have achieved an immense growth. All like to do it as there is no need to physically to the shop and we have a wide range of collections available in the online sites from which we can actually buy the product. The customers usually tend to purchase a product that has a good customer review and has the highest rating. Numerous reviews are given for a single product and the most of the important reviews are not organized well which makes it disappear from the other reviews. Numerous researchers have worked on structuring the reviews for various purposes. In this work we propose a sentimental analysis of customer reviews for various hotel items. All the items are reviewed by the customers and the proposed work makes an analysis of the reviews obtained for a particular item in all the available shops. This analysis is helpful injudging the most likely consumed food by the customers around and can get to know the competiveness of the product being delivered to the customers. Machine Learning techniques and Natural language Processing (NLP) are used for the proposed work and is observed to produce an efficient result.

Abstract: Brain Tumor detection using Medical image fusion plays an important role in medical field .Using Fusion technique, The medical image can be enhanced to detect the tumor. It is a mechanism of combining various images of same scene into a single fused image to reduce uncertainty and redundancy, also extracting vital information from the source images. The applications used here to detect Brain Tumor are DBN and CNN techniques. This paper emerges a new process of fusing the images to produce efficient and reliable result for detecting the cancerous tissue and early detection of Brain Tumor.

PRE-Screening for Elder Abuse in Sanglah General Hospital, Denpasar, Bali

Abstract: To identify clinically elderly individuals with elevated risk of being abused based on risk factors and potential forensic markers present. Methods : The design was a cross-sectional analysis of deidentified data taken from the medical database of Sanglah General Hospital, Denpasar. Participants were individuals aged 60 and above with specific ICD-10 coding indicating potential correlates of abuse reported in Sanglah General Hospital over a 6 year period (N = 898). Measured were participant characteristics include demographic characteristics, management and method of payment. The presence of four risk factors and seven potential forensic markers identified using ICD-10 codes were taken and summed. Analytic statistics was used for analysis. Results : Approximately two-thirds of participants were between ages 60-74, 51% were male, 87% received out-patient treatment and 85% used state insurance. 13% had multiple potential correlates of abuse. Five elders were coded with history of assault, with a further 5 coded for abuse. In logistic regression, four predictors, cognitive impairment, functional dependency, fracture and multiple injuries were identified. However only multiple injuries (P=0.008) was significantly associated with multiple risk factors and potential forensic markers of elder abuse. Conclusion : Given the ability of forensic markers to identify elder abuse strongly, it is important to further screen elderly patients who present with multiple injuries. More research is needed to further identify forensic markers of elder abuse valid within the Indonesian clinical context.
