Carbon monoxide is an odourless, colourless and toxic gas formed by the incomplete ignition of fossil fuels. It is also called as “silent killer” as it is difficult to detect by humans without using some detecting technology. When people are exposed to carbon monoxide gas, the carbon monoxide molecules will displace the oxygen in the body and lead to poisoning. Thus, the concentration of CO overtime passes a threat which may even lead to death. To overcome this, a smart device is designed to monitor the carbon monoxide level overtime and sound an alarm before dangerous levels of CO accumulate in an environment. The sensor MQ7 senses CO gas and once it reaches the threshold limit 35ppm(parts per million) as per U.S standards, the control passes to the Arduino indicating the seriousness through the alarm. Once the indication is done the immediate measure is to provide ventilation in the particular area.
<publication_date media_type='online'> <month>01</month> <day>30</day> <year>2020</year> </publication_date> <pages> <first_page>3648</first_page> <last_page>3651</last_page> </pages> <crossmark> <crossmark_version>CC-BY-NC-ND 4.0</crossmark_version> <crossmark_policy>10.35940/BEIESP.CrossMarkPolicy</crossmark_policy> <crossmark_domains> <crossmark_domain> <domain>www.ijitee.org</domain> </crossmark_domain> </crossmark_domains> <crossmark_domain_exclusive>true</crossmark_domain_exclusive> </crossmark> <doi_data> <doi>10.35940/ijitee.C8616.019320</doi> <resource>https://www.ijitee.org/portfolio-item/C8616019320/</resource> </doi_data> </journal_article><!-- ============== --> <journal_article publication_type='full_text'> <titles> <title>GPS System Based Low Cost Maritime Boundary Identification Device</title> </titles> <contributors> <organization sequence='first' contributor_role='author'>Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore.</organization> <person_name sequence='first' contributor_role='author'> <given_name>N.</given_name> <surname>Divya*</surname> </person_name> <person_name sequence='additional' contributor_role='author'> <given_name>R.R.Rubia</given_name> <surname>Gandhi</surname> </person_name> <organization sequence='additional' contributor_role='author'>Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore.</organization> <person_name sequence='additional' contributor_role='author'> <given_name>I.</given_name> <surname>Abinaya</surname> </person_name> <organization sequence='additional' contributor_role='author'>Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore.</organization> <person_name sequence='additional' contributor_role='author'> <given_name>M.</given_name> <surname>Karthik</surname> </person_name> <organization sequence='additional' contributor_role='author'>Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore.</organization> <person_name sequence='additional' contributor_role='author'> <given_name>R. This can be done using GPS(Global Positioning System) that provides navigation, positioning and other time details in all the weather conditions for everyone and everywhere.GPS system being used for map-making, commerce, surveillance. But this paper helps in preventing the violence created between India-Sri Lanka caused for crossing the border IMBL(Indian Maritime Boundary Line) which is unintentional. The important purpose of this paper is to alert the fishermen before crossing the country’s border. If they travelled beyond the border an alert message will be transmitted or sent to the base station by using an X-bee transmitter. This system is developed to help the lives of the fishermen and not to move beyond Indian Boundaries. On the whole it is a plan of creating a suitable device for civilian navigation at low cost.
  <publication_date media_type='online'> <month>01</month> <day>30</day> <year>2020</year> </publication_date> <pages> <first_page>1574</first_page> <last_page>1577</last_page> </pages> <crossmark> <crossmark_version>CC-BY-NC-ND 4.0</crossmark_version> <crossmark_policy>10.35940/BEIESP.CrossMarkPolicy</crossmark_policy> <crossmark_domains> <crossmark_domain> <domain>www.ijitee.org</domain> </crossmark_domain> </crossmark_domains> <crossmark_domain_exclusive>true</crossmark_domain_exclusive> </crossmark> <doi_data> <doi>10.35940/ijitee.C8620.019320</doi> <resource>https://www.ijitee.org/portfolio-item/C8620019320/</resource> </doi_data> </journal_article>
