Abstract: The success of firm depends on the manpower skill, attitude and satisfaction towards the job. As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility, the organizations must look to provide a secured and healthy environment for the workers. This also helps to achieve a sustainable growth of the organization. Now a day’s many of the business organization have started focusing on the occupational safety and health issues of the workers. But the picture is somewhat different in the decentralized sector of textiles i.e. power loom and handloom. The safety parameters are not much concerned in these industries and thus the percentage of the accidents and the health issues is considerable in these units. The current work tries to identify the parameters that are affecting the health and safety of the work force.
